MessyUI

  • A desktop addon UI that makes life every so slightly easier;

  • Have all the essential function accessible in one app;

  • Currently implemented: Clock, Timer, Search Tab, Sticky Notes;

Engineering Projects

Signal Generator, 
Signal Capture & Token Ring project

  • Utilized freeRTOS to develop a multi-functional embedded system for  signal generation;  

  • Established a token ring communication protocol with interrupt-driven input processing;

Binary Vector-Vector Multiplier with BIST

  • developed a hardware accelerator circuit with built-in self-test (BIST) module;

  • Utilized cadence for layout design, parasitic delay testing, and schematic generation;

Parallel Implementation of a Ray Tracer

  • A parallel ray tracer algorithm that is up to 14 times faster compared to sequential calculation;

  • Able to achieve, on average, 8.84 speed up with C-to-C ratio around 0.9980 (measured on dedicated SPORC cluster);

AXI and Memory Interface

  • Implemented AXI stream interface with Block RAM (BRAM) for foundational data handling;

  • Developed test-benches for tasks such as processing data like image;

  • Integrated with DDR2 and BRAM;

Single Board Computer

  • Designed schematic and PCB layout, sourced parts, soldered components, and troubleshooted with logic analyzer;

  • Key components: Processor, CPU, CPLD, DUART, RAM, ROM, Driver;

  • Configured pins using Quartus, coded CPLD in VHDL, and Motorola 68K chip in Assembly;

  • Programmed a basic OS with functions: ASCII HEX to HEX, HEX to ASCII HEX, and S-Record reading;
